Packaging Testing Research For Alcoholic Drinks Leader

CHALLENGE

An international leader in alcoholic drinks, our client had a portfolio of over 300 brands. The research focused on developing optimal packaging designs for their Beer and Cider ranges.

SOLUTION

An online survey methodology, incorporating our PackProbe approach, was used for this research. Interviews were conducted among a robust target sample of respondents who purchased beer in bars or pubs who were asked to evaluate various candidate designs, allowing our client to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each, ultimately identifying the optimal approach.

RESULT

The PackProbe research indicated that respondents had a clear design preference across several key metrics, including recognition, appeal, and brand fit. Utilising the insights from this research, the global beer & lager brand was able to move forward with the development of the new Counter Mount, which was introduced into pubs, bars and restaurants in 2020.
