Qualitative Research Consultants Association Announces Young Professionals Grants

The Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) wants to attract young qualitative research professionals to engage with its members and the association to strengthen the research community. QRCA’s first-ever Young Professionals Grant (YPG) will offer enthusiastic young qualitative research professionals the opportunity to attend the association’s 2014 annual conference in New Orleans.

QRCA welcomes individuals who are 35 years or younger to apply for the YPG. To qualify, a researcher’s primary professional role must consist of designing, conducting and analyzing qualitative research — or the person must be in training to conduct these activities. Applicants must not currently work for an advertising agency, manufacturer or service firm outside the research industry.

“We recognize the need to continually bring new people into qualitative research and provide this opportunity to allow them to grow in their expertise,” says QRCA President Kendall Nash. “The QRCA annual conference is an excellent way for young researchers to become familiar with our organization and to meet potential mentors.”

Additional information regarding qualifications for the grants can be found at www.qrca.org/ypg. The grants do not include travel or lodging expenses associated with attending the annual conference. Applicants need not be members of QRCA to qualify.

QRCA thanks Steve Schlesinger of Schlesinger Associates and Merrill Dubrow of M/A/R/C Research for their support for the Young Professional Grants.
